Born in 1946 (Notogawa Town, Shiga Prefecture)
Moved to France in 1966 and stayed in Paris for one year.
In 1967, moved to Canada via New York. Began studying pottery under the ceramic artist Gaetan Bodin. During this time, he returned to Japan twice and studied under Tatsuzo Shimaoka in Mashiko.
In 1975, he worked as a designer at SIAL, a Canadian ceramics company.
Built a kiln in St. Gabriel, Quebec in 1978.
Returned to Japan in 1981 and built a kiln in Matsuzaki-cho, Izu. Built a kiln in Futo, Ito City in 1991. In 1992, he exhibited his first white porcelain work in Tokyo. Since then, only white porcelain has been produced. Passed away on April 13, 2021 (75 years old)
