About VERNACLE Gathering #2
VERNACLE held its in-person event, "VERNACLE Gathering #2." This second event took place at ART IN GALLERY in Ura-Harajuku, running for four days from Friday, August 22nd to Monday, August 25th, 2025. Visitors were able to actually touch works that are usually only available online, and by interacting with the artists, they were able to hear directly about the background and intentions behind the creations.
New artists also get to interact with each other <br>This time, the event was held with the concept of introducing new artists, focusing on wall art.
Many artists and creators participated, including brush pen artist MORIHIKO KAWAMOTO, paint artist RYOTA TAKAHASHI, ink painting artist YUKI, and art director YUSUKE TAGUCHI of the regenerated Bizen ware "mono-solum", who were present throughout the entire day. The event was harmonious yet passionate, with participants exchanging opinions about each other's work and talking about their thoughts on their respective creations.
After the event
Apparel from VERNACLE's original brand, "brown supply," was also unveiled for the first time. The "new used clothing" that had been re-dyed by tea dyeing artist Kyoichiro Washizu was also well-received, and we received feedback from customers and ideas for future developments. Many of the artists' friends and families also came to visit, and there were many heartwarming and soothing scenes, making this an event that really brought home the fun of a real event.
Next time is the year-end party!
The next event will be held at "tefu Yoyogi Uehara" for four days from Thursday, December 18th to Sunday, December 21st, 2025! As an expanded year-end special, we will be inviting brands and manufacturers that we regularly work with and that we are interested in and respect, to hold a lively exhibition that will feel like a pop-up shop and a market. We hope to create a lively atmosphere that will make you feel like you've wandered into a market overseas, with genres ranging from art and crafts to apparel, body care, tableware, interior accessories, and food (coffee, craft beer, bread), so please come and visit!
