Minowatakaharu -Pot Small 2-

《Profile》

Takaharu Minowa (1995) was born in Ishikawa Prefecture. In 2014, he graduated from the Tokoname Tounomori Ceramic Art Institute. He studied under Chikako Yoshikawa. As of 2020, he is currently active in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture. His works are all art pieces, and he creates them while directly confronting how ceramics can have artistic expression, the techniques that have been accumulated over the years, and its history and context.

《About the work》

He presents his works with the theme of "Artisan's Wear and Tear" with the aim of reconstructing worn out pottery by re-firing it at low temperatures. He draws answers by keeping in mind the nature of things, while referring to various pottery that differs from traditional crafts. He works on creating works that interact with the space, such as objects and vases, as well as wall works.
This is fired at a low temperature using the Raku ware method, and I hope you can see how soft it is.
