Emilia-Romagna. A chicken sculpture made in the 1960s in Faenza, Ravenna province, along the Via Emilia.
Faenza has flourished as a pottery town since the Middle Ages, and is home to Italy's largest International Ceramics Museum. There are also many workshops within the town.

There was a chip, but it was repaired with lacquer by a Japanese craftsman.
The repairs are made by adding natural materials to real lacquer to glue and fill holes, then applying multiple layers of colored lacquer, and finally finishing with a sprinkling of brass powder as a decorative coating.
