Kei Condo "Pot"
About Artist
Born in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture in 1981, Kei Condo studied pottery at the Ibaraki Prefectural Ceramics Training Institute.
After graduating, he participated in an overseas dispatch by JICA, providing pottery guidance in Bolivia, South America.
Upon returning to Japan, he opened his own studio at the age of 28.
KEICONDO's works have been featured at places such as "noma kyoto," a pop-up restaurant held at "Ace Hotel Kyoto," and are ordered by top chefs and restaurants worldwide. He once received a scolding at a gallery, being told, "Yellow tableware is difficult." Yet, his pieces make any food, whether an artistic dish or leftover pizza from a party the night before, look delicious when served on them.
