Kei Condo 《Whirlpool Plate 6-sun WH》
Born in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture in 1981, Kei Condo studied pottery at the Ibaraki Ceramic Training Institute.
After graduating, he participated in a JICA overseas dispatch program, teaching pottery in Bolivia, South America.
Upon returning to Japan, he opened his own studio at the age of 28.
Mr. Kei Condo's works have been featured in places like the pop-up restaurant "noma kyoto" held at "Ace Hotel Kyoto", and he receives orders from top chefs and restaurants worldwide. He recalls being strongly encouraged by a gallery owner who once told him that "yellow ceramics are difficult" when he brought his work in a long time ago. His ceramics make food look delicious when served on them.
