Furogama Toshihide Oai
Born into the Oai family, one of the six traditional Bizen ware kilns, and runs a kiln in Imbe, Okayama. At Furogama, he captures the subtle "flavor of fire and earth" born from the serendipity of earth and flame in framed works. While preserving tradition, he challenges himself to create expressions that fit contemporary lifestyles and to fuse Bizen ware with different materials, exploring new possibilities for Bizen ware.

・frame artist/Mayo Yoshida
Born in Okayama Prefecture. After working at a picture frame workshop in Okayama City, she apprenticed under a picture frame craftsman in Kurashiki City, learning techniques such as gold leaf application and carving. In April 2021, she became independent and began making custom frames. Fascinated by 14th-century Italian frames, she traveled to Italy and studied carving and classical frame techniques at a frame workshop in Florence. She creates frames as works of art based on Italian frames from the 14th to 15th centuries.
